I was going to make custom brackets for my seats, I didn’t expect that something was available, and of great quality.
Good quality over all but one of the tabs wasn’t welded on straight. Didn’t cause enough of an issue to return the item.
Well worth the money especially compared to competitors options. These brackets are very strong and solid. They bolted right up and I tried to shake them to see how strong they were and they didn’t budge. Bolted right up to my fixed back seat. Love the fact that it has the seatbelt buckle mounting point. Very high quality. Professional welds. I have no doubt in my mind about these. It may be more than the cheap eBay brackets but trust me it is well worth it and will keep you safe.
I bought both the driver and passenger brackets for my RSX. The fitment is perfect. My specific brackets make one bolt had a pain to install, but it’s not fault to the bracket. The design of these accommodates oem Recaro sliders (and several others), and to make the seats sit as low as possible, one bolt is hard to tighten as it sits under the surface area of the bracket itself.
These are much sturdier than the PCI brackets they replaced and have more adjustability. If you have replacing your factory seats in your RSX, choose these, you will not be dissapoinyrd.
The bracket hardly fits, only three holes lined up and we had to grind the fourth hole to make it fit
Sorry to hear you had issues with the fitment of this bracket! We'd love to learn more about the issues you had so we can look into it. Would you be able to send us some images of what didn't fit and what you had to modify?
Would you also be able to send us an image of the car's VIN so we can document the issue as well? We'll look forward to hearing back from you.
Thank you!
Only company that makes these for 1999 Benz SLK230, has both seatbelt brackets for install. All other only have 1. Great Brackets
Works perfectly, and quick arriving very pleased. I would use these in any application.
Relatively reasonable shipping time and cost. VERY high quality product!
Here's what I learned though; the car (and this bracket) are configured with three of the four threaded holes (to mount it to the floor) flat, the fourth is at 90 degrees to the floor, that's the rear inboard one-it mounts to the floor hump (it looks sort of like a transmission and driveshaft hump that runs down the middle of "old timey" front engine, rear wheel drive cars like your Dad drove)...
Installation is quick and easy, just hand tighten the three flat floor mounted bolts about halfway first, then insert and hand tighten the 90 degree one. Then tighten them tight with a wrench like you would when reinstalling a tire. Quite happy with my purchase!
Ended up not needing them for the job but it's like my Dad would say, "it's better to have it and not need it then to need it and not have it"!
The rails do fit, but they seem they ride a little too high. The traditional Gtr rails are low profile. A low profile option would be great.
Hi Chris,
We're glad the seat brackets fit but we're sorry to hear they were taller than you would have liked! We'd actually like to make these seat brackets lower but unfortunately we are limited by the position of the rear inbaord mounting point. Nissan positioned that mounting point in the trans tunnel rather than in the floor. We had to design these seat brackets with the top surface of the bracket above that mounting point to allow for access to the mounting point for installing the mounting bolt. If we made the brackets lower, that mounting point could not be accessed. We made that mounting point as low as we could and then made the rest of the seat bracket level from there.
There are a couple of ways you could attain a lower seating postion:
1) You could remove your sliders and fix mount your seats. This would lower the seats by about an inch. However, you wouldn't be able to adjust the seat forward and backward.
2) You could consider installing a low profile fiberglass shell style seat, rather than a reclinable seat. Aftermarket reclinable seats generally have much thicker bottom cushions when compared to a fixed seat. Installing a low profile fixed seat could lower the seating postition.
We hope you find these options helpful!
We do appreciate you sharing your review and if you have any questions please feel free to reach out.
Thank you!

Was looking for a seat bracket for g37 to lower seating position & there's really no real options. Planted is the only company to make a bracket technically, but they don't offer a lower style mount like they do for the z or g35.
The mounts are thick & are a direct bolt in but feel like they could've at least moved the main plate back some for taller drivers, I'm 6'3". When I mocked up the seat my helmet was still touching the roof so unfortunately not the solution I was looking for but if you need a bracket planted will do
Hi Paul,
Sorry to hear our seat bracket wasn't as low or far back as you'd like! Unfortunatley the floor in the G37 prevented us from making the bracket lower. The inboard side of the seat bracket is as low as it can be given the contours in the floor of the G37. The rest of the seat bracket is level from there. The only way we could have made is lower would have been to shift the whole seat bracket a couple inches toward the door, but that would put the seat very off-center of the steering wheel and put the driver in a very akward driving postion.
We could have made the seat bracket further back but then it wouldn't work for shorter drivers. We do our best to position each seat bracket so it'll work well for most drivers.
We may be able to make you a custom seat bracket with the top surface shifted further back and exchange it for the one you have. If you are interested please let us know.
Thank you,
I needed a specific seat base my floors were modified by the previous owner to accommodate 2004 Pontiac GTO seats. I ordered the Planted technology bracket perfect fit!
Jeff and the team are awesome. This product works well with their side mount rail solution. Extremely happy with the product and the service of their whole team.
The previous owner of my 1970 Nova installed 2004 Pontiac GTO seats so I took a chance and purchased 2004 GTO Planted Technology seat brackets and I'm glad I did substantial mount made from quality materials and the shipment was on time and quick!
As my title states. The photos do not do these brackets justice.
Why? There is no context. So your photog needs to step his/her game up :)
I was astonished when I opened the box yesterday and took these brackets out. I shouldn't have been, but as stated, there is no context in the photos to show that these brackets are in no way comparable to the multitude of similar items that can be found around the web claiming to be "racing" parts.
These are made with the same 1/8th's inch steel their mounts are, and mandrel bent not stamped "chineseium."
God answered my prayers and delivered me from the Chinese market place to an American made product.
China is our enemy. So many people seem to forget.
So, stamped steel? Fuhgeddaboudit! Solid. American Built. Steel!
Now, if this darned hurricane will take its a** on I can get back to installing this with my seat.
Thank you Planted!
PS: Buy with confidence.
Despite this listing for the W202. I ordered and was able to utilize this mount for my 2002 A208.
The holes were by and large correct. Though I did have to grind the diagonal holes for RF/LR on the mount.
It looked to me that the angle bracket that was welded on, had been welded on at an angle and not aligned properly in the manufacturing process, thereby making those two holes diagnoal to each other needing elongation.
None the less, easy fix. And works well for my car.
I'd order this same mount again if I had to do one next week. It was that easy to modify.
The mount itself is no joke. The choice made of 1/8ths metal is the right way to go. Plenty of strength without the weight 1/4" metal would have.
And what a great company!
Even on a bracket where they warned that it could be weeks upon weeks before being built, it only took about two weeks to receive the item.
Item well built ( inclusive of my notes), properly packed and gives me peace of mind that it will work safely in my car.
I love this place!
The planted bracket fit the mounts as intended. The seat brackets bolted up fine. The major downside is that the bracket forces the seat to be off-center by about 1.65 inches to the left of the steering wheel. I would not recommend buying this, we ended up having to have a better mount fabricated.
Hi Marshall,
Sorry to hear that you didn't like the seating postion of our seat bracket! We actually do our best to center each of our seat brackets on the steering wheel but often times it's not possible. Even with the seat bracket positioned as close to the center console/transmission tunnel as possible, sometimes it's still not centered on the wheel. This is because often times the auto manufacturer designs the vehicle with the wheel off centered toward the center of the vehicle. We see this a lot in sports cars in particular, but it's common in other types of vehicles as well. The offset steering wheel can become more obvious when installing an aftermarket seat.
Another factor that contributes to how centered the aftermarket seat will be is the width of the aftermarket seat compared to the OEM seat. If the aftermarket seat is wider than the OEM seat, it may not be possible to center it because there just isn't enough room.
We mention this in our installation guide: https://www.plantedtechnology.com/pages/installation-instructions

This base went in with no problems everything lined up and bolted up perfectly...would definitely recommend!
Light weight and easy to install
The whole install, the base plate, the spacers with the sliding assembly and the side mounts was very easy and works like a charm
Jeff was very patient in answering all my concerns and guided me to the appropriate parts I needed
